It is possible to 'get around' the issue of having devices that exceed the range of the remote when in the same mood or channel (in terms of both programming and activation). The command must simply be repeated when within range of the device that was initially out of range (this is the same for setting up the mood). The command will not delete the pairing or saved mood of the first device just because it is out of range. (The memory of the pairing is stored in the device itself and not the handset).
